I have started painting my Baron's War kickstarter pledge as participants in the third crusade for Outremer: Faith & Blood.
The leader is Conrad Montferrat but the rest are made up characters, I will add some other historical characters later.
-
Very good indeed!
-
Lovely brushwork ;D
-
Very nice work 8)
What else is in them pipeline?
-
Thank you for the kind replies! Here are some better images of Conrad and Hughes Cox.

Two foot knights are currently on the painting desk, after that I'll likely paint some men-at-arms. Then I'll tackle mounted knights. My pledge was very big, so there is plenty to paint, but my goal is to paint up a playable band asap.
-
Looking good!
-
Very well pained.
Look forward to following along.
-
Very nice.
Are these figures available to buy?
-
Thanks for that. They do look splendid!! 8) 8) 8)

Tough Looking Knights, Will they need any help! lol
Lovely painting BTW! 8) 8) 8)

Finished two more knights for the band, a knight from Tripoli and another French/English (French) knight. Hoping to finish a templar before going on a long work trip soon.
-
Managed to finish a templar for the retinue.
-
Lovely work :-* :-*
Keep 'em comin' :)

Great painging. I am a huge fan of that the footsore crusader miniature. I wish Footsore would make more miniatures for that periode.

I asked as soon as i saw the mini was available. They said there weren't any plans to do a range.
I really hope they do too. It makes financial sense too as in the USA The Crescent and the Cross is played much more then Saga, or so I have read.
-
Great stuff! You give them a lot of character.
-
I got an update from the Kickstarter the other day with pictures of crossbowmen. I am not sure if this means another Kickstarter or just a couple of packs will be released by Footsore. I am looking forward to crossbowmen since I have started painting my figures as Spanish.

Afaik I think everything new for the Baron's War will be added to a second kickstarter. Which is fine by me. The first worked perfectly / with a speedy delivery!

It will likely be a new kickstarter, I'm scrambling to find spare funds for it.

Agreed, my only complaint would be the lack of padding. My bishop arrived broken, as did two replacements.

Yeah, the cross of my bishop was broken too. The package was not superbest. I didn't ask for a replacement. I haven't fixed it, but I hope the cross will be easly fixed.
-
My Bishop also had a bent to broken cross. I need to pin it. He is a high priority figure as I worked out his color scheme mostly. He was going to be English but then I read the 1212 graphic novel by Jesus Cano de la Iglesia!

Funnily enough I'm putting on Las Navas de Tolosa at Partizan later in the year! (The Other Partizan that is)

These guys look awesome. How has your Outremer Warband fared in battle?
-
I don't have the best set up for photos right now but I'm happy to share these barons war villagers. Will attempt to take more photos of the other new stuff I've finished.

I haven't had time for a game the last year, barely managed to paint...
-
Beautifully done! They look great!

Your painting is exquisite

Thank you all for the kind response. My favourite miniature from the second Barons War kickstarter was the kneeling or praying knight. It was a real pleasure to paint and I'm definitely getting another to convert in the future. Started painting four more figures, managed to finish the crossbow man.
-
Awesome models. What is your base recipe?
-
I really like that kneeling figure - really adds character to a tabletop
-
Four new miniatures done and some better photography of previous ones. I have also decided to rebase my miniatures on 25mm bases to suit the Barons War rules.
Awesome models. What is your base recipe?
Vallejo German camouflage beige as a base, washed with Citadel Agrax earthshade, heavy drybrushing with Citadel Ushabti bone and then another lighter drybrush using Vallejo Ivory.

Wonderful clean painting all around and great colours as well :-*
-
Great work!
-
Very nicely done
-
Lovely neat crisp work :-*
-
Those are very nice.
Steve
-
Realy nice work on what is a superb range of figures
-
Thanks everyone for the kind response! I couldn't resist painting one of the templars while working on 15mm Romans, so please enjoy my quick and dirty photos of a hospitaller knight ;D
-
Beautiful work, he's awesome!
-
"quick and dirty?" He looks amazing!
-
Superb painting!
-
Splendid looking knight! How did you get his cloak to look so real? Also, how did you paint your Templars? I need to paint mine but have been putting it off as I want to get their colours right.

Brilliant!
-
He's rather fetching.
-
He looks great. Not started any of my Barons War figures yet but their new Outremer range has me very tempted to start putting together a couple of small forces.
Steve
-
Very nicely done - that cloak is amazing.
-
Thank you all for response :o Painting a few more Barons War minis, can't resist it :D

Do you mean my templar or hospitaller? I'm painting a templar right now so I can take some images of the steps.
-
You got some really nice work in this thread.
-
Lovely work :-*
-
Lovely work!
-
Another beauty for Outremer ;D lol
-
Great work on the face for this one.
Steve
-
He looks like someone who will do oh so well with the ladies (or gentlemen) with a face like that!
-
Finished another Barons War civilian. I imagine him arguing with the crack pot preacher :D
-
Excellent work, a real incentive to get on with mine!
-
Masterful brushwork! I love the skin tones, especially the fella in yellow and green!
-
Hope you like these :D
-
Some more images.
-
I plan on having a village and a backdrop in the future for these scenic shots.
-
Brilliant work!
-
These are excellent buddy
-
The civies look great, as does your templar with his faint 5'o'clock shadow
-
They look amazing, and I love the feel the crazy guy (perhaps a mendicant of sorts) gives.
-
Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing!
-
That Templar's in trouble. Beards were (rightly) compulsory.

Perhaps he's one of those guys who just can't grow a beard to save their lives? That must be truly awful when surrounded by big beards.
-
I managed to squeeze in some painting and added a mounted knight from Outremer to my little collection. I pinned the knight to the horse and added greenstuff, such a heavy piece that I needed super glue to keep it stuck to the base instead of the regular PVA glue. I hope they release plastic or resin horses in the future, shields too since they keep falling off!
-
Looking nice!
-
That group pic looks great! :-*
-
Amazing work! You've inspired me to now empty my bank account on the crusades! haha lol
-
Great collection!
