Low Life miniatures: Last week to get some!!
« on: August 30, 2012, 04:36:28 AM »
Over on Kickstarter, there are some neat "alternative" miniatures (for the RPG Low Life, but they can be used for any crazy thing you want.) No greens yet, but they have a top-tier sculptor in Jason Wiebe.
Have a visit to the KS site: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1359565526/low-life-miniatures

Ooooh now that's interesting. I picked up the Lowlife RPG rulebook a couple of years ago. Never played it, just liked the whole concept & background fluff. Yes, I really am quite an odd chap  :D

Really looking forward to seeing how these turn out. Thanks for bringing even more weirdness to my attention.
...and what fresh new hell is this?

Wow. I was actually just about to post something about this. I've been anxiously awaiting these since hearing Andy mentioning them years ago. Low Life is my favorite Savage Worlds setting.

They hit their goal and two stretches in under a couple of days, and been going strong since. As of now, $50 will get you 16 different minis, with the possibility of more being tossed into the mix, aside from the originally posted stretch goals, under different conditions ("we reach a certain amount by noon tomorrow", hit 1000 'likes' on the Low Life Minis Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/lowlifeminis, etc.).

There's now an in-progress green pic of the cremefillian guy, and a couple of the monster minis have been unlocked.

Also, if they hit $14,000 by tomorrow Andy will give everybody PDF copies of the Low Life books. There's the design a character contest thing that's pretty sweet too.

Oops- I forgot I started this thread  ::)

I started a new thread in the Fantasy Adventure section with a pic of the new green.

Uuulon Crepulos can be had (with 30+ other Low Life minis) for $100.

That thing's going to be huge.  That is a full-sized 28mm cremefillian riding what amounts to Low Life's version of a mecha.

Still not as big as Cornthulhu, but big.  :)

Saw this today (in the Eastern Front FB group)

I have to admit that Jason Weibe quite managed to transform the awesome 2D artwork into a miniature.

Looks so much fun painting :)

Yeah, he's doing an awsom job!  :-*

Also, some of the names are great!  lol  The right ones the 'Guy with a stick'.  ::)

It's also getting a better and better deal as Andy has not only quite moderate stretch goals, he also keeps adding extra miniatures beyond the announced goals ('if this stretch goal is met by Friday noon, you'll get another miniature in addition to the stretch goal').

Some of the art work's also great:

 ;)

This is the last week for this, everybody!
If you're going to pledge, do it soon. There are also a few Cornthulus, mutant land fish and inflated plorp balloons left over.

Here's all what you get at each level (note: Each higher level also gets all the figures of lower levels):
