Custom Terrain Question
« on: January 02, 2011, 04:59:06 PM »
Hello,

A good friend of mine is working on a 25/28mm World War 1 project and is looking for some terrain.

He already has some of Great War Miniatures 28mm late war Germans, Americans, and British.  They were all nicely painted by Fernando's painting service.

Now he's looking for some really nice trench gaming boards.

He's looking for stuff of similar quality to the Great War terrain, which I believe they built themselves.

Unfortunately, their tutorial and photo gallery doesn't work, but I think these photographs are of their terrain.

He's looking for some museum quality stuff that he can use for gaming too.

Does anyone know of a terrain builder that would be interested in this type complex project?

Thank you for any help!

Brian

Hi Brian

I have just joined and was looking at how to paint WW1 infantry and I came across your post.
I am a terrain builder and have been 'at it' full time for the last 8 or 9 years. I am currently working on a WW1 layout for a customer but I have done one or two in the past.
Here is a link to my web site and the WW1 gallery page:

I hope you find it useful.

Hi Gate traveller
Mate I can whole heartedly recommend TM Terrain.
I just received a French Indian Wars Fort from them and it is superb.
In fact the ony reason I havnt posted photos of it yet is because I fear the other LA Forum members may wank themselves to death apon viewing it.
Cheers

tmtDAVE-  That example is a lovely set up, if I recall it was also in Wargames Illustrated.

Brian, you can find a few trench set ups using pre purchased trench pieces within the Scarab Miniatures forum and so its easy to see the difference between custom made and "sit on the table" items so it will be worth your friend contacting Dave and enquiring further

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your help!

Dave, your terrain looks really awesome.  I'm going to pass on all the information to my friend and see what he would like to do.

Thanks again!
