The ravelin floor, the walls, even the muddy water is from Photoshopped paper.
Cardboard, earth, cork, plasticard for the trench supporting planks and the invaluable finishing touch of Miltiades!
I love this piece!

Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates. – Mark Twain, Life on the Mississippi

Great work, looks superb.

Thank you!
The first is a picture of an old half-timbered house somewhere in France and in the second pic this is how I managed to transform it to an object for our game... The other three sides of the house were created by conjecture, of course!

This is incredible, do the roofs lift off so I can hide when the bombardment starts? My fort is an old Geo-Hex, but nothing I have is like this.  My hat is off to you.

I had not this in mind, They are very lightweight, easy to carry around and just robust enough to avoid warping.
Please have a look at

(Cromwell enters London city) they are designed suitable for a 15mm scale.

They were used while playtesting a new pirate game of mine "Surrender yer booty" but only for 1/72 pirate bands roaming the streets of an imaginary Caribbean town, not hiding or fighting in the houses.

As I have kept most of their templates, if I ever remake them for a 28mm RPG game, then lift off roofs, why not?

Your town is a delight.  And highly versatile, for many periods and genres.

Thank you! I had this in mind. Most of the houses can continue to keep their shape even if they fall of table or being stacked. Besides that they can be carried in a big plastic bag with one hand, (if you are careful enough)  ;)
