Title: Cheap Frostgrave Terrain
Post by: dulydude on January 18, 2017, 01:58:22 AM
Hi again guys!

Since Frostgrave needs a decent amount of terrain, both scatter and buildings, I wanted to know if people knew some sources of cheap terrain that could be used.

So far I can only think of Amera Plastic Mouldings http://www.amera.co.uk/ (http://www.amera.co.uk/) who have a nice range of fantasy ruins, and some sci fi ones that can easily look like fantasy ruins.

What else have others used?

3D printed stuff.  Printer pays for itself in short time by printing hardware and stuff for around the house.  Prints usually are like 15 cents to 75 cents.  A ruined house would be like $1.50 in plastic maybe $2.

Also, check Aquarium shops. They are a good source of cheap scenery.

If you're a bit versed in the hobby, you could easily scratch build some simple but ok-looking stuff from foamcore, cardboard and insulation foam.

For example:

But you can find lots of example looking in this section of the forum. Most of them, better than mine.

I use inexpensive cork tiles from the craft store:
