Title: Medieval/Fantasy Carts

Hi folks,

So my first real post here, which is a little daunting, but what the hell.

I've just relaunched my website after years of messing around with blogger. I wanted to put something up there a bit new, so I thought a quick little how to article would be a good idea.

I'm currently working on a 28mm town, ostensibly for Mordheim but really more for the modelling experience since I'm not a huge gamer. But whilst the buildings are coming along it always needs extra bits to make it feel more real and lived in. So I've put together a little cart to be part of the market area by the canal.

Here's the end result along with one of my Mordheim Reiklanders:

Not a hugely complicated build by any stretch, but if you would like to see the little tutorial it's on my site (http://gtazz.com/kataan/index.php?mod=2&blog=116).

Since the site is pretty much a ground up rebuild I'd appreciate any feedback too :).

Simple but effective tutorial.

And your Reiklander if VERY WELL painted.

Nice work, I like what you did with the Dwarf hands on the mini, too!

By the way, it doesn't hurt to score your balsa wood with a small brass or steel brush, too, for some finer tecturing. Give it a go if you like!

Hi guys, thanks for the comments.

I'm quite happy with my Reiklanders. My painting is somewhat rudimentary but definitely improving with time. And I thought the dwarf hands worked, sure they're a little bulky but I figure he's just wearing thick gloves ;)

@Christian, I do normally score my balsa, I have a great metal pencil thing used for marking wood that does the trick. I thought I'd leave it out to keep the tutorial quicker, but I should probably go back and add that in, cheers for the suggestion.
