Pick Up Treasure - Is this a movement?
« on: May 25, 2016, 10:02:04 AM »
Say I have a wizard who picks up a treasure token for his first action then
wants to cast a teleport for his second action ... is this allowed?

Is picking up a treasure the required Movement action?

Thanks, Walts

Nope, picking up treasure isn't movement.

Mmmm, that's a shame ... it is a sort of movement!?!?! ;o]

So, I guess the wizards not going to get away that easily ... he will have to
pick up the treasure than do (nothing or) a move, then teleport next turn,

If the treasure is out in the open I find that the best way to get it without getting shot is to activate a soldier in the wizard or apprentice phase , move him out and pick up the treasure then have the wizard/apprentice cast a spell to get him back into cover. Alternatively just use telekinesis to move the treasure to somewhere where it is safe to pick up.

I rarely, if ever, pick up a treasure with a mage - the halve movement and -1 Fight don't make it an appealing prospect, even if they do have Leap or Teleport.

That's wat Thieves are for. They are fast, and if they get killed are only 20 gold. I stick them with the wizard and Apprentice so after they pick up the treasure I can cast "Leap" on them by either/both Spellcasters.
I know the voices aren't real .... but they have such FASCINATING ideas!
