A small test run of Force and Force

Nice setup for the board.
I am sure your figures when painted will look great.
 I know sometimes I just want to try rules out even if I have to try them out with unpainted figures.
Look forward to seeing if you like the rules after you have played them a few times.
I am undecided if I will purchase the rules.

The figures are Christian's and I'll bet they'll look great too painted.

I have heard nothing bad about FoF and I already think the rules have a good feel to them, from this simple game alone.

I had lots of fun trying this out! Despite getting some things wrong, I thought a couple of things were rather clever.

The assumption that figures on the battlefield are utilising terrain while not being directly behind cover was great. Being further than 2" from terrain leaves your men exposed, otherwise they're ducking in and out of crumbling walls etc.

I like Reaction systems. They can be tricky to keep track of when you start off, but I can see this getting easier... and the richness of game-play with this kind of system is well worth grappling with the concept!

I also like that you can play over a fairly small, crowded space and not be inhibited tactically (or bored!).

How do you find playing FoF in 28 mm?

Would you have preferred to use 20 mm?  Which I have but have done nothing with yet 


I am trying to decide on scale.

The only advantage to 20mm would be a broader range of die-cast vehicles in my opinion. Already having the terrain and buildings for 28mm (not to mention the space) is a big draw card. A lot of the stuff on the internet does seem to be 20mm though.

just read your game report on your blog, nice. I have the Eureka Aussies, 12 painted. Don't like how they don't do any supports weapons for them though to make your 'bricks' for FOF
