Hi all,
We recently played 250 points En Garde game using duel scenario. Backstory for this was a dispute between two nobles which ended up with a duel. Burgundy noble selected e champion from his retinue top fight for him while French noble decided to fight himself.
Burgundy forces:
3 men at arms and 6 archers
French forces:
3 men at arms, 2 bill infantry and 2 crossbow
Burgundy archer with Scout ability moves up to a better position to the other side of the ring.
First round of combat begins between the duelists...
... and very quickly the Burgundy champion lies on the ground slain by his opponent...
... Burgundy noble seeing his champion slain decides to take matter in his own hands and enters the fighting circle...
... meanwhile soldiers from both retinues start attacking each other...
... Burgundian noble managed to land some hits on the French noble but he too was bested in combat by the French warrior...
... fight continues between French and Burgundian soldiers ...
... within minutes all French are dead with only one of them managing to get to close combat with Burgundy under archer fire
Longbows won the game for Burgundy and my opponent learned the valuable lesson on how to kit out his crossbowmen and that the shoot stat is quite important for them
