1813 Prussians (Calpe minis!)

Heyhey,
I'm currently working out a recipe for painting 28mm Prussians. The minis I got here are by Calpe. It's th first time I'm working with their minis, but they look really, really nice.
So here's the first bunch of minis, 3rd infantry regiment (2nd East Prussian) Fusiliers:

Right, the test unit's done for now, let's see how it's received.
Hope you like them!

Oh yes, very pretty indeed. There are some tiny niggles I have (like the ones I got here sometimes got just holes where buttons should be, and the eyes only being holes). On the other hand - The important buttons are all there, and the eyes look actually better as dark holes underneath those shako visors.

Very well done, neat painting! Your brush managed to catch even the tiniest detail on them! Excellent color palette!

@DintheDin: As always, many thanks for the comment.
The blue on the coats led to some raised eyebrows on behalf of some people on the internet. Compared to what I'm used to painting (French and Austrians, sometimes Russians) the Fusiliers looked so incredibly dark that I just didn't have the heart to go with darker blue on the coats. Next up are some Landwehr and Musketeers, along with an officer. Let's see how they turn out!

Lovely painting Sigur! I guess the backstory is they are using captured French muskets, with white musket straps instead of the Prussian red-tan leather? (Easily fixed!)

@Greystreak: Well, crap....
ONE thing I go ahead on and 'just assume'. I guess I deserved that. Dang those Prussians and their inability to create a pleasant colour scheme for their army!
@bluewillow: Thanks very much, Matt!
@OSHIROmodels: Once again - thank you!
Here's a quick WIP shot of the Landwehr and line musketeer dudes:
Now excuse me while I fix the musket straps..

Heyhey, peeps. I have not fixed the musket straps yet. However, I painted other detail stuff!
So the musketeers (front) are mostly done. The Landwehr infantry in the back still needs some more work, but I hope to finish them tomorrow as well.
After that there's still the Jägers left to do (whom I haven't even researched yet, so those will take a bit longer) and the officer on horseback. I better get all of those done quickly, because there's another batch of those guys coming up in a few weeks and in between I have to finish Polish lances and a whole bunch of Gretchins!
Hope you like them so far.

Thanks! I know I can rely on you.
Done and done!

Phew. 10th Silesian Landwehr, 3rd Line Infantry (2nd East Prussian), plus a detachment of volunteer Jägers.
That's been quite a marathon the past few days, but they're finished and I can close shop for christmas. To paint my own stuff. This is my life, I guess.
There'll be close-up photos as well in a few days!
Anyway, hope you like the chaps!
