Renegade Late War Germans
« on: January 04, 2010, 12:38:47 PM »
I was looking to pick up some Renegade Late War Germans and was wondering if any one knows a place to purchase these in the USA.  The Renegade website is charging 45% for shipping which is just plain silly! >:(

I picked up the Warhammer rules and wanted to do some LW Germans for starters.

Will be using Aircav's great painting guide!  Thank you for that! :D

How do the Renegade LW Germans fit with the Great War Miniatures LW Germans?  I would like to mix the two in same units if possible.

Would also purchase the Renegade miniatures from another stockist in the UK if the postage was more reasonalble...

Thanks!

Darkoath

Try this:

The miniatures are from left to right:
Renegade Brit, Renegade Brit, Great war Brit , Great War Brit, Musketeer Brit, Musketeer Brit, Musketeer Brit, Brigade Yank,  Brigade Italian, Brigade German & Copplestone German.

Or this:

Left to right Copplestone German, Renegade German, Brigade Miniatures Belgian, Great War German & Brigade Games german.

These give you a rough idea of sizes  :D

Will be using Aircav's great painting guide!  Thank you for that! :D

You're welcome  :D

Thanks Keith for the reply!  Your painted WW1 armies have inspired me! :-*

Unfortunately Brigade Games has decided to stop stocking Renegade miniatures due to supply issues.  They don't even have any LW Germans as back stock.

Keith have you compared the size of Scarab miniatures yet?

The Renegade and GWM figures look like they will go together very well! :D

Now I must find somewhere to purchase them! :?

Darkoath: take notice that the renegade minis are more bulkier than most of the other miniatures! this is something that doesn't bother me, but I'll leave the info for someone who is bothered by these scale discrepancies
Cheers,
Pedro

I use Crusader miniatures along side Artizan Minatures for WW2.  It looks like the Renegade WW1 miniatures are not as bulky as Crusader so they should be fine for me I think but thank you for the warning.  Are the Renegade LW Germans also sculpted by Mike Owen?  The plan then is also to do Renegade and GWM LW British to oppose my LW Germans.

I don't know who makes them...
I only have the 1914 uniform french and they are very good... and I have them mixed with foundry and GWM figures (although I had to add a coin beneath the foundry miniatures to give them a little bit of height, but this only needed for the older foundry miniatures)
