...in 1/300
As I really want to have a Zep, the regular miniatures I have quite a few of but they don't mix with my 1/300 stuff....so why not combine my skills and my leadpile to make something useful?
Slow progress on this one, but hey, not unusual for me.
Took a Heroics and Ross Mig 3 as the base model (could have used the Scotia one as it's better but it's lacking the exhaust system that I need for this model), then looked at the artwork I had.

This and a few more pics I had to work with. Not much, but I have the game on my X-Box so did some studying :P

Shortened the wings and made winglets from plasticcard to slot over the stubs I left, and cut off and shortened the tail.

Looks close enough to me (and ignore the prop, I ditched that)
And now she is almost done, and she has a snazzy paintjob.....

Hopefully she's done by the end of the weekend......

That is awsome. I have about 20 metal Crimson Skies planes that I've been meaning to paint. This just might jumpstart me, keep the pictures commin.

Wow, nice work Johan, very nice!
So, when will you starting on those 1/2500 ones I can use for my Zeppelin battle rules? (I really should finish those rules someday...)

The original Crimson Skies is one of my all-time favorite games. It was a little clunky with all the damage charts, but there were about 6 of us who had the rules down and could play a dogfight game easily in about 2 hours.
You did a great job on the conversion of the figure.

Two hours?!? We usually managed to crash and burn within 45 minutes...
Loved it. Even built a Zeppelin to go with the little planies. Too bad it got "shot down" in my last move some four years ago.
Nice little plane.

Anyway,. That was a fantastic conversion!

It was a fun conversion. Coincidentally, I did sell my entire collection last week though.
