Also, Battle boards.

The game uses an abstract range ladder for combat which you can move counters representing the combatants about on:

I'm using miniatures so I made a modular 3D one:

Different terrain types differentiate the range bands, see :) :

This week's additions:

And a Medusa which obviously it isn't safe to show here in case you meet her gaze.

Very nice - I invested a few minutes in a tour of your Agon project site, very tempting!
I'd been toying with cork board surfaces for some time, now I'm convinced. The zoning idea -without actually marking the lines 0 is brilliant!  8) 8) 8)

I have some big monsters I'm painting now. Once they're finished I have about a dozen heroes to complete and the 4 centaurs and I'm done. Shouldn't be too long.

Good job on the Neanderthals. I have them to paint sometime soon... Chunky aren't they  :)

They only arrived this week and I wasn't looking forward to painting all the fur but, as it happened, they only took a couple of hours to do. I reversed my usual 'flesh first' approach and dry brushed everything before adding the 'neat' bits last. Worked a treat.

Thanks Paul. That sounds like a good strategy. I will try that.
Fur first  :)

Some Reaper Bones beasties. So cheap and light and easy to work with, the Hydra comes in only 3 pieces (as does the Gryphon).

A Beholder standing in for Argus of the 100 eyes.

And a Mesopotamian Feathered bull-man. I have no idea who makes this, I found it on eBay and couldn't resist it.

I painted another Reaper iron bull but I've run out of bases so no photos yet.

More photos of the ones above on the project page:

Taking a break to do some gladiators and a Saga army but I'll be getting back to this soon.
