No spaghetti tree, but amusing nevertheless  :) https://www.warhammer-community.com/2024/04/01/thank-bribe-your-loved-ones-with-our-shiny-bright-new-warpstone-jewellery-range/

Spaghetti tree, for anyone wondering if I've completely lost it  ;D

I broke down today…

I pre-ordered (at 15% off), from my favourite Quebec hobby shop (they almost always have the Anglais versions, but sell out of the français ones! lol ) the

Bloodbowl Gnomes! with the pitch, dice, treeman, cards - everything except the Forgeworld Rodney figure. I’ll grab him later.

I feel vaguely ashamed - I usually hate GW (who doesn’t?) - but these garden gnomes got me.

They … got … me …

Old Marauder Giant back on made to order

I'm surprised by the price, that isn't too bad.

My friend saved for months to buy one in 1994. Adjusting for inflation I think he might have paid slightly more for it than you would if you bought it today  :o
(This was in NZ though, where GW stuff has always been more expensive than elsewhere).

Right?! I was watching some American youtubers talking of their favourite minis and the marauder giant being one of them and USD estimates of $300-1000 for origional one.

I expected it to be priced up there!

I bought a metal original one, with a bad paintjob for €35,- just last year. If you know where to look, inflated Ebay prices still don't have to be paid ;)

Yeah, eBay prices can go from around £50 to £100, give or take, depending on how well it's listed, the quality of photos and just pure luck I guess.

Price increases coming in June :( https://www.warhammer-community.com/2024/05/07/2024-pricing-update/

Quote
The price changes for individual products will vary, but in most countries the average change will be between 3% and 5%.* As an example of what you can expect, a squad of Necron Warriors goes up $2 from $50 to $52, £30 to £31.50, and €40 to €41 (or local currency equivalent).

The prices of some of our products aren’t changing, such as paint pots and paint sets, White Dwarf, and Black Library products (including digital publications).

Not sure why they particularly seem to hate Norway and Sweden
Quote
In Sweden and Norway, the average price change will be between 8% and 14%.

Oh good, the comically priced paints aren't going up...nor are their digital publications (which cost them nothing). lol

I also bought one cheap at one stage (minus the barrel) then sold it for about double the price when I realised I wasn't getting around to painting it, current price is about 3 times what I sold it for though, lol.
