Just completed this medieval tent - for my later 15th Century stuff - based on ones seen in illustrations and re-enactment events. These larger tents were used for food preparation, eating and storage.
Have crammed a load of stuff in, to try and make it look authentic. The canvas cover is removable and there's more info and pics on my blog.

:-* :-* Great idea...a definate "one to copy "

That is awesome! The Bill leaning up outside really makes it for me, I guess because at a medieval reenactment I recall the communal tent had one leaning up outside like that! Love the hanging clothes as well!

Very nice, lots of lovely detail. Really like the supporting stay running from the main post. What did you use for the stay? As it looks, unlike most miniature ropes and cables, to actually be under tension

Nice.

Superbly done, the detailing is astonishing (that jug on the right - it's a real one you zapped with a miniaturising ray right?).
Stealing that idea :-*
-
Fantastic - the little details make this so alive!
-
Excellent - fantastic attention to detail. :-*

Briliant!

Many thanks for the comments.
Moonshado - the stay is just a mid brown sewing thread, made by Guttermans of Germany, which I got in Hobbycraft in UK. It's tied and then glued to get tension.

Fantastic modelling and painting, Simon!

That's a splendid piece, its like looking at one of the photos from that medieval warfare book.
-
I think I ate in it last summer... lol
Very nice creation!
-
Well done - very imaginative, looks like the Tardis, small from outside and huge from inside
-
Absolutely superb!!! One of your most impressive vignettes thus far!!

That is wonderful! I am continually amazed at the museum quality dioramas that LAF denizens produce as gaming pieces. Yours especially are always well done. Thanks for sharing.
