Title: Redcoats and Rebels, Musket & Tomahawks II - Devon Wargames Group
Post by: carojon on January 23, 2022, 11:50:09 AM
One of the games played at the DWG this month was a Muskets & Tomahawks game set in the AWI as the Crown troops desperately assaulted a strongly held Rebel position.

The new version of Muskets & Tomahawks gave a very interesting game with lots of decision points for the players and seemed to me to be an improved set of rules over the former incarnation.

Great AAR!  Certainly had an AWI feeling to it.  The commander of the light bobs must have been buggered, having to give that redoubt back to the Patriots as his fellow Redcoats had to retreat away from the field... ;)

Hi chaps and thank you for your comments.

I very much enjoyed my first game of the new version of Muskets & Tomahawks which I hoped came across in the review.

CapnJim - As the Light Bob commander I was as surprised as my men to find myself relatively unscathed amid the American line, as I winced constantly at American rifle and musket fire that kept missing. Fortunately the Rangers and light bobs didn't miss when their opportunity to return the love presented, but it proved too little too late in the end. C'est la guerre! :'(
