Title: Rednorseman's Fantasy Miscellany Thread

Hello Lads,
I am a frequent lurker of the board here but rarely post. I have been working a dungeon crawl project for my sons ever since I halted work on my oop Citadel orcs (the lads of the White Skull Reavers). Here is what I've completed so far:

Terrific work, love it. What system are you going to use with your sosn?

Where did the wolf come from?

It looks like a wolf that I also own, not sure if it was released outside the kickstarter, but it is a very nice sculpt.

Hello Lads,
I am a frequent lurker of the board here but rarely post.

Strike one! Don't let that happen again, with such great models to show  ;).

Really love your style of painting. Good, naturalistic choice of colours and paint jobs on a very high level. Really impressing, how "alive" your models turned out to be, even the green Orc skin suits them very well.
Top job, sir!  8)

Thank you all for the very kind replies! Very kind of you all. My boys & I have been playing a slow campaign since Christmas (finally finished our 1st dungeon last night at long last  ;)). We have been using one of the earlier (free) versions of Trapdoor so far & it has been perfect for our needs. Basically, I am just trying my best to get them hooked on this sort of stuff.

I do have a mind to try & gather a band of friends to play a more serious campaign and as of yet unsure what we will use (5th edition or the final version of Trapdoor are the strongest contenders so far). Any recommendations?

As for the questions about specific minis, I went back and labeled all of them. Obviously, I like a lot of Kevin Adams' work.

As for next steps, I have a band of evil mercenary assassins to finish up (which includes the half-orc & bugbears) & will then move to a huge warband of undead (mostly Otherworld minis).

thanks again everyone.
cheers-

Somehow I totally missed this thread. Your choice of miniatures and accomplished brush-work makes for some very pleasant and inspiring viewing: I certainly envy your family/friends who get to game with such beautiful models.

I note that you are using Trapdoor, albeit a beta version. How are you finding them? I feel the need to point out that the 'published' version (http://www.wargamevault.com/product/139366/Trapdoor) is a much more polished affair, although there are naturally still a few very minor kinks which shall be ironed out in a future 'ultimate' edition (some time in 2016). If you do have any questions regarding the rules then please PM me here and I will endeavour to answer them.

In the meantime I am looking forward to seeing more of your work, especially the Bugbears and Undead!

Holy Smokes!

You got Skill Man... serious skills!

My son (10) found my old D&D stuff a while back, and we have been itching to play.  I have painted up a few of the old Grenadier Solid Gold Line boxes
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=81989.0

and we have been looking for a system.  The old D&D stuff (nothing later than about 1983) isn't quite right for us... we looked at pathfinder, and I didn't care for that.  The one we are reading up on now is Castles & Crusades, but I will have to take a look at trap door.

Lastly
Don't let so many months go by before you post again, your stuff is amazing, and it inspires newbies like me to keep painting!

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate the encouragement.

@Revfan- I am honored you like my stuff. Thanks!  :D
As for what I have been up to, I have abandoned the Mordheim campaign & my oldest son & I have jumped into Frostgrave! It is awesome!  ;)
Our 5th edition D&D campaign was stalled a bit; but I hope to move that forward soon. Meanwhile, I was cruelly lured into this after watching Ash's videos (he posts under the name Achilles in the Frostgrave sub-forum). What an amazing board to play on. Anyway, I am slowly painting up a modified warband which will include some of the same dwarfs I last posted & some new dudes. I have also painted up a ton of terrain that I am really proud of. WE are 4 games into a campaign & just loving it. Since you asked, I will post some stuff within the next month or so (as some as the warband is completed).

I hope you are enjoying your gaming with your son! Cheers!
