The rat-ogre looks amazing! I have a copy of this miniature, but am concerned it might look a bit over the top in 1/72. I remember the old Citadel Jes Goodwin models and this one looks so much more dynamic.

That’s an impressive looking rat! It would be a serious monster in 1:72, it’s a big fellow in 28mm.

That rat is a pretty cool sculpt. It has just the right amount of insanity for a rat ogre. You did well bringing your kids to the dark side of miniature painting.

Thanks, gents!

Here are the first of my orc warband for Mordheim (a second orc warband, really, as I have the Orcs of Zorn underway using only the Zorn palette). The 'boss' is the guy with the crossbow (he may not be the biggest orc, but he's certainly the ugliest).

Another lovely painted pair of very old skool sculpts! I really like them.

Cool. Love the faces sculpted on those and your PJ has brought them out very nicely.

Thanks, all!

There's been some reshuffling in the orcish ranks. I kitbashed/converted a hulking orc hero and found a new leader in the form of a partially painted black orc, who has now been given a bow. I'm hoping to finish them both off tomorrow or Friday, in time for the weekend.

For now, the crossbowman is relegated to the ranks or even the sidelines; the orc in the horned helmet is the new leader. The big guy, if painted in time, will be a 'big un' - possibly paired with the small Marauder orc with the sword and mace, who looks like he might punch above his weight. I like the idea of an 'odd couple' set of heroes.

Love the kitbash

Ooh, lovely orcses! A variety of skin tones will definitely help the horde look more like a varied rabble than one big family.

Beautiful work on that black orc especially!

Those 90s plastic monopose models are generally underrated, but you've really made it shine.
