Many thanks, Anatoli and Sunjester. I'm packing away a previous game, at the moment. Then, I can get my water mat on the table and take a photo of progress, so far. In the meantime, I have completed the first of three buildings, which link together to form the Calle al Ponte da Pendenza-Angolo.

I have to say that this quote from a post above, seems to also describe the bacchanalian jamboree that is the Annual General Meeting of the Gentlemen of Much-Piddling!

You really should advertise your gatherings. I suspect many of us wouldn't mind attending...

Lovely terrain.

...and another statue.

A memorial erected to immortalise the famous condottieri, Capitano Bertolomeo da Scattocaso.

Ditto.

A tremendous amount of work still to be done, but what a brilliant start. Looking forward to seeing this progress and the games generated on the table will be a sight to behold. :o :o

Get the rationale for the approach to the terrain, and it's looking fantastic. Lovely paint-jobs.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Doug, glad you appreciate the codpiece!

anevilgiraffe, the wells are from TTCombat

Part two of the three part building is now complete. I was rather keen on this one, as the actual building bridges a canal.

I must object however, just when I thought I had all the buildings I would ever need for Venice, you post a picture of this! lol
