Another in the series of Great Northern War test games. Probably went the best so far. Write up on the blog https://gapagnw.blogspot.com/2018/12/another-gnw-black-powder.html

A spectacular game! Beautifully painted minis, especially the Saxons are a must-see!
It seems that there was a need of a plate of cookies for the opposing cavalries to be lured to the center of the table (6th pic) lol

Indeed, just been pointed out to me that 80% of the write up is missing for soem reason, apologies re-visting the post now so folks get apicture of the acual game rather than just a picture of biscuits!
-
Apologies, all re-written now, hopefully makes a little more sense.

I enjoyed your narration, it was a great game! Cheers!

What a super looking game!! Lovely figures, really well done. A very enjoyable read. :)
-
Great stuff! My games are a similar size, but in 10mm! So I'm slightly jealous!
-
Thanks very much guys, its starting to feel like I wanted it to. Not far off now I think.
-
You are creating a more and more beautiful miniature collection and it is always a joy to see them on table! Cheers!
-
Thats really kind thank you, not too far to go now. Two units each of Swedish Foot, Swedish Horse, Saxon Foot, Polish Horse and just one of Saxon Dragoons.
For now anyway!
-
Very nice looking game. Nothing like the GNW for some spectacular looking uniforms.
-
Thanks very much Pictors Studio. It is such a colourful period.

The Saxon Guards, are Warlord Miniatures with Ebor command figures perhaps?
Thanks!

Hi Antonio, generally they are yes. A couple of units have Wargames Foundry metal command figures but the majority are Ebor.
Whilst I find the plastic musketeers come out fine I really dont like the plastic command and the Ebor ones really bring the unit to life.

Thanks for the answer! It looks good, indeed. Will try myself.
Best!

PS: I enjoy a lot your AARs, by the way.

I have fair few plastic musketeers sitting around waiting for me to do something with them, they are decent enough as unit fillers but you are spot on the command are not so nice, Ebor certainly lift the unit, and turn them into a really nice army. :)

Beautiful looking game! 8)

Well thanks guys.
Antonio thanks for the kind words, Donnie crack on, a few Ebor around the edges of the Warlord figures makes a world of difference I think. Axebreaker, thanks very much.
