Rogue planet and other SF terrain and miniatures
« on: February 21, 2021, 01:07:32 PM »
Recently I've finished some terrain pieces and miniatures for a quick rogue planet game. More to come! ;)

I did some unit cards for them too:

Looks great.
What software did you use to create the images of the minis you use on the cards?

Thank you! I used Krita for that  (and Inkscape for the cards)

Thanks, I will take a look at Krita. I have been trying to achieve that look in Photoshop but the lines I get in the resulting images are always very messy (greyscale rather than true line art). I like how clean your images come out.

Looks great! Those grids/walkways are a terrific idea for Rogue Planet, as they'll break up the movement nicely without making things too claustrophobic.

How do you find the game, I am tempted by it just because I like reading rulesets even if I don't paint or play anymore, just for ideas should I start again.

@Jagannath - Thanks! I like the rules too!
@hobgoblin - Thank you! I was inspired by different ground types from this video:

@aliensurfer - It's fun but bit quirky ;) It's not a "realistic" system - some things seem a bit counterintuitive (but you can say it still gives realistic results) It's definitely fun system that forces players to make many tough decisions while remaining simple and customisable. it's like a mashup of wargame, boardgame and video game ;)

Thanks for that little tutorial!

I really like your Martian looking table there. Where's that walker from?

Nice pieces of terrain and those Cards - wow! Jason Smith had a nice Card making program available for a while as well. I've used rpg-cards (which is free) but yours look a lot better.

Great. I like the miniatures and terrain. The cards as well. Who makes the bigger walker model?
