Interesting top piece - not what I excpeted at all. Whats the weather vane going to be? A gibbet?

 lol
I think that something that allows it be used in other settings would make more sense, although I am tempted with a flaming comet.
 ;)

Almost there! Looks  :-* :P :-* :P

Thanks Funghy!
It IS getting there.
I hope!

A dovecote. Interesting. I thought it was going to be a clock tower. looking forward to seeing it (lots of pigeon poo?)

No clocks on this one, although there will be a full-blown Clocktower in the pipeline in the future.
And, yes, pidgeon-poo will be in abundance.
 :D

The Dovecote should make spotting the Witch Hunters easier: just keep an eye out for the Guys sporting the Pidgin poop.

I cant speak for the other players in the group, but my Lady Burners keep themselves clean.
 ;)

Paint is going on it soon...

Paint is going on it soon...

It DID get a lick of paint on it.
It is now ready to have the colours blended together a little better and the final details added...

....it has to have the tiles blended together, a chimney stack added, the holes added to the dovecote and various weathering and scenic bits need to be applied.

Oh, and pidgeon poo in abundance.
 :D

I am also considering a roof for the tower.

One question for you chaps and chapesses: I was thinking of adding a railing to the top platform, roof terrace thingy.

I am undecided on this, as it smacks of 'Health and Safety Rules' to me, and not very appropriate to the time setting.

It would also hinder the placement of figures.

It could look good, though...

What do you think?

It looks great as is, though if you feel the need to embellish then please do so!

Looks great. ;D

I say go for the railings. Extra eye candy for sure. :-*

I say no - unless there's been more than a few (say 16) deaths from slipping on pigeon poo.

And for the tower - a removable roof (on 4 columns)?

Could you make the railing removable, e.g. drill two or three holes into the platform and plug in the railing? Then you could easily remove it when/ if you place minis  on the terrace but for the best part of the game still would have the extra eye candy.

Oh, it has to have a fair bit more done to it yet, Mr F-F.

Thanks, Mama!
That was my feeling, too.....

That sounds like the most sensible option, given one or two of our group's penchant for clumsiness.
Cheers, ink, that is a great idea.
Why didnt I think of that...?

Cheers, Silversixx. I think that I will go with removable railings.

16 deaths?
 :o
Not very safety conscious, are you, von Lucky?
 lol

The removable option is something I am considering, so that figures can be placed.
I am influenced by this one from Bibbles:

(Hope you dont mind me 'borrowing' your piccie, James  ::)..)

Although the tiles will be a lot more haphazard to match those on the Watch House.

Bibbles has gone for a rather neater look than I have...

I work for a government department. I just believe in there having to be a real reason before a policy change takes place. :D

So do I (in a sense) and they LOVE to come up with a new policy just for the sake of it.
I guess it justifies their existence.... and salary...... ::)

I thought they made up Three policies, all contradicting each other. That way they make jobs for their cousins, the lawyers?

Any way, I really love this thread and your attentions to details. Keep up the good work.

Thank you sir!
There are a few small fun pieces to make soon.
A couple of ideas I have had are the Witch Hunters cart, some market stalls and an abandoned stage coach.

First up, though, is the Halfling Pie Shop.
 ;)

They will all be after my trip back to VSF to tie up loose ends.
That needs doing first...
