Thanks chaps. Got the pontoon Bridge to have a pop at next. So that'll be three la Haye Saintes,  Fort Sahara, Fort Apache, and Sherwood Castle in the collection!
I well recall back in the early seventies, me and our kid writing to Airfix, to suggest making a Cowboy Town. Kind of copying the 1:32 range that Britain's and Timpo were then knocking out. Airfix would have aced them in HO:00, they never replied. Even today I still think it's an opportunity, proper missed by Airfix!

 :D

Only a master of evil!

I shy away from doing vehicles, dioramas and terrain because they never look how I want them to! If it hasn't got a face, I do struggle with it. I keep daydreaming about building La Haye Saint, a Celtic village or a Roman mile fort, but I never actually do it. Apart from anything else, I'd have nowhere to put them!

I have that Airfix castle - obtained late nineties - to be placed on our wedding cake!  Wife loved castles, proposed at closest think we have to a castle near us, Vikingholm at Lake Tahoe.

Only recently did she let loose of that castle after having it first displayed on our mantle for many, many years and then in storage for quite a few years.  Sheriff of Nottingham and Maid Marian painted up as a couple no less.  :o. From the Robin Hood set, of course.

Maybe it will now make it into a game.  Who knows?

Are you aware of the bases / diorama bits that Amera have re-released http://www.amera.co.uk/product.php?range=a

They have lost a bit due to the vac-form process but its a chance to relive some classics...
