I've been slowly picking away at the Skellie cav by WGA and now I've painted my first chariot in 25+ years of hobby
I haven't really painted a whole project in ages, so this is mostly just to get me back into the groove with no particular rule set in mind.
It's a really fun kit to work on, WGA keep hitting it out of the park for me. The skellies themselves are a bit bigger and thicker than the Wargames Factory/Warlord skeletons (those are my favourites) but these still give me that Harryhausen vibe and also I don't have to glue the feet to the legs which is just a giant pain in the arse...
I got some thin wire (I think it's for flowers or maybe making jewelry?) from my girlfriend and used it to add reigns to the "driver" and horses. It was quite fiddly but in the end I used uv hardening resin and now they'll stay on there come hell or high water.
One thing I'll change is the bigger rocks on the chariots base. I'll switch those to a somewhat grey like on the rider's bases. I think that makes the basing look more interesting. The orange/brown-ish rocks feel like they get lost on the chariot base.
C and C always welcome
