Ikedaya inn assault

I was wonder to recreate the storic ikedaya inn incident of the shinsengumi in 1864.
Looking on internet i have found a map of the inn at that time and a model of it that i would like to recreate.





Now, have you any suggestion on where to start? I don't have a 3D printer, do you know of a site that sells individual Japanese room models so you can assemble them at will?

Fascinating project! I may have to steal the idea...

Unfortunately I don't know of any such architectural kits (and I have trawled for 28mm Japanese building kits for years now and have a pretty comprehensive collection), so that would seem to leave one of three options: 1) find a friend who does have a 3D printer, or else make one; 2) learn to scratchbuild; or 3) commission something from someone. Most of these will cost time and/or money but such is this hobby I suppose!

I did look at doing this a while back. I was going to use Papierschnitzel's papercraft designs for interior walls and floors and stick them to mounting card to make the rooms. Think the most useful stuff was in his castle set.
