Would love to see more angles! Let's see the face!

I'll do some better pics once I've got Ulrika Straghov finished as well.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  :)

Stunning work! I must ask, How do you paint your flesh tones?

Stunning work! I must ask, How do you paint your flesh tones?

On these I used a base mix of VMC Tan Earth and VGC Beasty Brown. Highlighted up with more Tan Earth, then VGC Bonewhite and finally a little white for the lightest highlights. A very thin glaze of GW Agrax Earthshade and some old Ogryn Flesh helps to tie it all together.

Everything is painted and photographed now so here we are...

Felix

Gotrek

Ulrika

And it's got nothing to do with these apart from it was from the same commission and I can't be bothered to start a new thread just for one model, but here's an Avatars of War barbarian.

I made a few notes and comments on these on my blog.

:o :o :-* :-* Wow!  Those are simply amazing paint jobs.  The tattoos on Gotrek's head is an excellent touch.

Wonderful final products. Great work on Gotrek's tattoos.

By the by, are these really 40mm as claimed, or would you say they're closer to 35? I've heard both.

Ulrika appears to be a touch over 35mm and Felix is closer to 40mm I reckon. Hard to get an accurate measurement though with all the tip toeing and leaping around. Height aside, the models are generally more bulky than the usual GW stuff and there's just more surface area to cover with paint (one reason why they took longer than I estimated).
