Ranger Company - Updated
« on: June 20, 2010, 08:58:57 PM »
Last one from me. A few pics of Ranger Company, a group of wasteland Mercs of the white rather than black hat variety, again snooping around Mariposa like everyone seems to.

And yes, I know, I really must do some Rangers to go with the vehicles. They are on the workbench, honest.

The vehicles are a mix of Old Crow, Dinky (the 10 wheeler) and Matchbox (the Q Wagon with 6 wheels).

All brilliant, just as are your other posts today. If your work gets to be any more badass, my eyes are just going to rupture next time I look at one of these threads.

 :D

I really love your attention to detail. Your models and terrain are just brimming with character.

Beautiful work.  The weathering in particular is great.  I have 2 of those matchbox vehicles.  Did you have to replace the wheels on the SHADO mobile when you took the tracks off?  The window effect is also superb.
This is my boomstick!

Doomsdave is right - great effect on the windows! And you've done a fantastic job on those old crow vehicles. I've always liked them, so now there's no excuse, and I'll have to pick up a few of them!

Just love the look!  Reminds me vaguely of that convoy they used in the latest Resident Evil flick.

The wheels for the Shado are actually Old Crow wheels. If you look closely they are the same as the 4-wheel Geckos. I have a couple of Geckos waiting to be turned into wrecks, given their absence of wheels.

The wheels were just stuck on to the chasis using super glue. If I turned it over you'd see that it is all a bit randomly done, but what the eye don't see....

I enjoy converting old diecast models and have quite a few others underway. I'll post them when they are decent. A taster...

I remember that, it was part of a set of three I think, one long pointy vehicle would launch from a big old tracked (almost land raider looking) thing. Nice!!  :D

Now I know that the earth is cursed and everyone will be sheltering in hab tents but a few minis would be nice too? ;)

Guilty as charged. Minis on the way and yes, it was part of that old matchbox three vehicle set.
