We are very pleased to release the first codes for our 15mm Yom Kippur War Israeli forces, the infantry of the IDF.
The first set has seven men armed with the FN FAL, the number of men who would carry that weapon in each section (squad). Each sculpt is unique.
The second set has five men with Uzis. These were used by officers, some NCOs, some paratroopers, and many other men in the IDF during the war. As with the FN FAL packs, each pose is unique.
We also have models for section command and weapons, which also has the weapons section elements in it -- shown above from left to right are the FN MAG for the platoon's weapons section, one of the two poses of section-level FN FAL (Heavy Barrel) with rifle grenades attached, two command poses with Uzis, a radio operator, a Blindicid (bazooka) team (weapons section), a light mortarman with the two inch mortar (weapons section), and the second pose of section-level rifle grenadier. The grenades were added to the heavy barrel FN FAL poses because they were so often used in the war, and otherwise it's very hard to tell the heavy barrel FN MAG (which served as a sort of proto-SAW) apart from the normal rifle.
There's a
platoon deal available as well with two sets of FN FAL, one set of Uzis, and one set of section command and weapons. This would represent a hastily-composed platoon with two rifle sections rather than three.
Finally, at company level there would be a weapons platoon, made up of two HMGs and two medium mortars. The HMG was supposed to be the .50 M2, but many .30 machine guns are seen on tripods in images of the war, so we had the models made so that either a .50 or .30 insert may be used, and both inserts are provided.
We think you'll agree that Mike Broadbent has really outdone himself this time! These models were painted by Hallmark Painting. They are available now, at the link below, and the armour should follow shortly.
