New design to be revealled on the day. Usual small bag of them winging their way to LAF HQ in Germany too.
-
Ah, new badges, great news :)
-
I have voted for picking one up from Bibble's gaff, but I wont be shy about bothering you again when we bump into each other.
;)
-
I voted for me as I'm there :D
cheers

I missed getting one last year - don't know how. I did see a few people wearing them - but only when I was standing right next to them, cos they were ever so titchy...
Now I know one shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but could the new design risk going a size or two up? :)
-
Nah, this size is the size all us cool kids go for. Big badges are for fogies... ;)
I can sort you one of these though...

Titchy badges - yes. Larger ones this year please, my eyesight isn't as good as it once was.
-
What about upping the cost of the badges slightly , you take your cut for the cost of making them Phil, and the rest goes as a donation to the LAF to aid in admin costs for this great site? Bad idea?

I like that idea. 8)

Is this badge Salute '14 specific or is it a general LAF badge?
If the latter, I would like to get some for OZ-LAF members (those in Australia) if possible.
Failing that, how do we go about it? There were several OZ-LAF floating around at Cancon this year and it would have been nice to have an identifier.

Good idea. Given the amount of money most of us spend at Salute, a few quid on a badge to support this forum shouldn't be a problem :)
-
Voted for in the post, as last year I missed out because by the time I managed to get off the demo table they were all gone.
-
I think gents you should have a feather in your hat...obviously the issue is what style of hat ;)

Can't do it without buying another die for the machine I have access to, and all the gubbins for bigger badges, which is around £100 before a single badge is made, this would put the cost of them up to over £2 each given that around 50 sell.

Well this is basically what happens, but the donation goes to LAF as badges so our mainland chums as well as Admin can get their hands on them. I also sneak them into any post I send to a fellow LAFer. I could put the price up but 50p is handy for change, less fiddling. There's not really a margin on them as is, it's more an act of largesse. :)

It's a general LAF badge but produced for Salute. PM me to sort something out.

Badge for me please - looking forward to Salute - although the last one seems only a few days ago. :)

I already have a feather in my hat (and I usually have a poppy on the hatband too).
I think we should get LAF waistcoats - extra pockets for dice, measures, glasses (big glasses for Richard), beer money (big pocket for Thunderchicken, small pocket for Malamute?)
:~}
-
Good God, what a splendid idea Gary - LAF-branded waistcoats... Practical, stylish and slightly eccentric. Just what we need :)
-
i would like a "Fob Watch" pocket on my "extra large" multistripped
moleskin waistcoat please ;D 8) ;D 8)

Glynis is on a costume degree course with access to fabric printing (and embroidery machines), so it's a real possibility.
-
multistripped moleskin
What do they feed moles near you to get stripey ones?
You'll be wanting a honey-badger hat next :~}

Real men drink Espressos ;)

Hmm. A LAF waistcoat would be a nice combination with one of my fez-o-rama Cthulhu fezzes.
Any LAF'ers with badges going to be at GenCon in the states later in the year?
-
Real men drink Espressos ;)
Piffle! TEA man TEA!!!! COFFEE IS THE DEVIL'S OWN BILE!!!
-
Can the Aussies who wanted some of these please get in touch via pm?
-
The above is sorted and the antipodean envelope is ready. Anyone who wnated one through the post please pm me and let me know where you live, etc.
For those who wanted bigger badges there is a chance now of getting a few larger ones, if you'd like this option please get in touch.
-
I'd like a larger badge, will they be available at Salute?
-
Yes there'll only be a short run of them, but they will be on Jim's stall with the regular sized ones which the hip young things wear. ;)
-
I'll collect from someone at salute....

I'll collect from someone at salute....
Phil usually acosts me wandering around salute demanding 50p with menaces so will do the same m
-
I've just taken the last postal order, the rest are for the day with any spares then available via post afterwards.
-
I'll be posting out the overseas badges on Monday, if you're one of the recipients and get it before next Saturday please don't post a photo of it before 10.00 on the 12th April - as it's a surprise 2014 design, different from last year's obviously.
See you there!
-
Are you popping in on Friday Phil?
cheers
James
-
Tempted, although I don't think I can take Cpt. Stinky in him being 10 and all.
-
Might prove difficult, yes.
cheers
James
-
I'm rather late to this party, but I'll take a badge please. I'll be on the Bibbling one's VSF game, so will pick it up from him.
-
Hmm, don't think I actualy ordered yet but I'd also like to pick one up @Jim's.
-
No problem, just buy early to avoid disapointment.
