Thanks for your kind words chaps.

Interested to see how you get on - the is a period that I am just 'awakening' to

It is rather undervalued as WWII gaming goes. I have to say I am a big fan of the armour of this period!

How do you do the infantry?

Do you mount them a) directly on the bases or b) do you put 5 on an ice-lolly stick for painting?

Do you paint the main colour and shade with a wash?

Do you choose different / brighter colours than in larger scales?

NOTE
I have been experimenting with 10mm and will include them in my updated painting guides.
I have been mounting 5 on a lolly stick for painting and then painting bright colours and using a dark wash to get the shades.

For the infantry, I attach three-four models to a lolly-stick, prime in black, paint base colours, brown wash, then reapply base colours as a highlight. The colours I have chosen aren't actually brighter than those you'd employ for larger scales, which is something I regret - I think starting with a brighter base makes the models 'pop' more at this scale. Still, I can live with 'em.

Hey FF,

Great paintwork supported by some good basing! Two nice armies, are you planning on adding any French to your mix? I like the Pz I based SP with crew always one of my favourite early war odd vehicles. I see you've added a third man to the PAK36 crew too I think it's odd they come with only two in the pack (I assume these are Pendraken).

Are you planning on painting any of the German vehicles in the 'two tone camouflage scheme of panzer grey with one third of the vehicle painted in a disruptive pattern of dark brown'?

Cheers!
