I am hanging on for some of the later releases, as I want slightly 'later in the war' stuff... I am going to do an Indian Mutiny set-up for TMWWBK as an alternative to my NW Frontier stuff. I have always been keen to do the Mutiny and with Mutineer miniatures plus these marvellous new ones AND a fun ruleset to play with, now is the time! Gonna get, me some Mutineer minis Mutineers and one unit each of their Regulars and Shell Jacket Brit types to be going on with then top up with goodies from this fabulous new range as they emerge!!! Those new Sikhs are a must buy and as soon as the Sikh Cavalry comes out, I MUST have those to do a 'Skinner's/Probyn's, (etc) style irregular cavalry unit!

A cool project for 2015 - 2016 :D

I'm buying the lot!!! With Mike Snook behind the wheel of authenticity you can count on them being the most historically accurate Indian Mutiny range out there by a long shot.

Shirt sleeves or Shell Jackets- they're fighting fit enough for me  :D 8) 8) 8)

Absolutely, which is why I'm waiting a bit. You see, my 'backstory' for the planned project is for a British Field Force operating around November 1857, taking on the Rhani of Ranjipur (obviously a fictional location and personage, not so loosely based on the Rhani of Jhansi) , a lady who feels ill-used by the British in the wake of her late husband's demise and to whose banner mutinous Sepoys and mercenary Afghans flock in their thousands... :D

This gives me the opportunity for a mix of kit on the Brits (tunics, shell jackets, boat coats, shirtsleeves, whatever) but mostly armed with the Enfield (historically accurate or not - sorry!) Hence waiting for later models in either phase 2 or 3 of the release (can't actually remember what is coming where)for most of my Brits. I want a mix of the two manufacturers because I really admire the work of both sculptors and want stuff from both in my forces.

I look forward to the no doubt stunning job you'll do on yours - mine will be done in my 'base coat, dip & highlight' style as I can't see to layer paint on a black undercoat any more... :(

Received British figures this morning, nice animated sculpts. They seem smaller than other Paul Hicks figures, slightly smaller than the Empress Zulu War figures. This is my only gripe as my eyes are not getting any younger. I will still be getting some more.

The old Foundry book is now available on Kindle - not ideal but if viewed via a larger screen it's not bad!

Well, at least that's in the public domain and not going for silly prices.

Splendid stuff! They're full of character and action.  :-*
