Many thanks, Galloping Major. Brian's conversions are really special. He's working on another Swedish unit for me, and no doubt I'll post pictures in due course, although there are quite a few bases of the Yellow Regiment to post yet.

I'll look forward to seeing any additions  :)

Here are a few more figures. Again, the conversions are by Brian and the painting and the photo are by Andrew. The flag is a cloth flag from Maverick Models.

Wow - they look fabulous, Paul!

Love everything about them - poses and painting. The command base is superb - love the kneeling drummers - just brilliant, especially the one with the pistol. Nice touch with the partizans - must remember that point for my next Swedish unit  :D .

Have you seen the latest musketeers planned from Bloody?  (Out this weekend I think?) I wondered if the poses of the musketeers would suit three ranks, kneeling, stooping etc. ?

Andy: Many thanks.

I've only glanced at the Bloody figures. They are extremely nice, and I've bought quite a few. While I've used the Bloody cavalry, the Bloody infantry are noticeably bigger than the infantry in my collection, and so I've not used any of their infantry yet.

If you want figures firing in 3 ranks, and are happy with bigger figures, Redoubt do some Irish which are designed for a 3-rank salvo. I didn't ask Brian to use them as a starting-point because they are so big and they carry the later, lighter musket which didn't need a rest.

Andy: having now seen the Bloody infantry packs, I'm not sure whether the stooping figure is stooping enough to be used for the middle rank of three. I'll be interested to see how you get on. I'm only aware of 2 figures which are intended to be used as a middle rank - the Redoubt Irish figure which I've mentioned and a Warlord Swede which I recall you've used for your Swedish Blue regiment. The Redoubt Irish musketeers were, when they were first brought out, described by Redoubt as being suitable for TYW ragged Imperialist troops if memory serves, by the way.

Excellent conversions, nothing but the best from Brian, excellent paint job and very interesting composition and basing.  Much to admire.
