On the seven seas is out now, anyone played it yet and can give a review?

Ditto. Can't find anything on these. No mention of how many figures are needed, mechanics etc. I'd assume it's skirmish level but does that mean 5 or 50 models or something else? It apparently deals with ship-to-ship actions. Are these done in the same scale as the figures or using smaller models such as 1/600?
Dan Mersey had the right idea with Lion Rampant. He has sample lists, AARs etc on his blog, just enough for me to know I'll be getting them as soon as they come out.

There's a fair bit of information on this thread (amongst others - this one collects it in one place): http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=67456.30

I think that should address most of your queries, but I will explicitly state that the ship-to-ship combat isn't in a different scale.

I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have, and also check out the OTSS resources on this page: http://www.ospreypublishing.com/articles/osprey_wargames_resources, as they offer a guide to building crews that you might find useful.

Cheers!

I did a review on my Facebook group, but I think I might get lynched if I posted it here . . . .. . .

Nah! A review's a review - go for it!

The only thing I will correct (and this is directed at a comment following your review, rather than the review itself) is the suggestion that the generic sailors were added as an afterthought to allow gangs to be built, following some kind of communication break-down. Check out the 'Building a Crew' guide in the OWG resources link above or in my sig for the thought process.

UPDATE: I'd forgotten there were some initial thoughts and reviews on the last page of this thread: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=67456.105
