Title: Han Solo and Darth Vader
Post by: stone-cold-lead on August 14, 2011, 09:57:27 PM
These took a bit longer than intended but I'm pretty chuffed with the end result (although the photo's could be sharper). Miniatures are Knight Models 30mm range and like so many of my recent pieces they're based on Fenris bases (had to add some gubbins for Vader to lean on though).

Got three more models to do yet to go with them. Chewy, Luke and Leia.

You don't fool me matey,
that's a photoshopped pic of Harrison Ford and a Fenris base  ;)

Stunning - amazing shading/highlighting on both. Han's boots and waistcoat are fantastic, and the face is so good it's difficult to believe it's 30mm. Full of character - that Han Solo sneer is brilliant.

Yeah, that's exactly what I think too.  ;)

Otherwise, you're VERY TALENTED, and I'm green with envy.

Thanks for sharing.

Glad everyone likes them. The sculpting of Han's face is excellent, as is Skywalker's (yet to be painted).

WOW!

When I first saw these, I thought they were some of Knight's larger scale, but at 30mm that is just phenomenal!

Seriously amazing!

'These are the figures you are looking for!'

The Han Solo figure is too cool for words. The best ever. Darth Vader is great also, but Han is out of this world.  :-* :-* Hope to see more soon. Thank you.

Would be enough for me if they would produce multipart Stormtroopers ;)

Oh, and a Punisher of course lol

Damn, I can never shade white like that.  Don't suppose you have any tips for that paint scheme on Han?

No problem. The white used a base mix of VGC Ghost White and GW Dheneb Stone. Then I just added white for the highlighting. Finished it off with a very thin glaze of GW Devlan Mud. Hope that helps.
