Late Antiquity, Dark Ages, Early Medieval Podcasts
« on: November 10, 2022, 02:45:12 PM »
OK, I'm beginning to run out of things to listen to whilst painting.

If anyone could suggest any podcasts starting with the Fall of the Western Empire, Sub Roman Britain through to the 11th CE- Normans and Byzantines especially.

Anything I might have missed ?

Cheers

Have you tried The British History podcast?
I've enjoyed listening to that on and off when I've not been listening to comedy podcasts.

"The Fall of Rome" by Patrick Wyman is great.
"Norman Centuries" by Lars Brownworth is also very interesting.  Don't listen to this one at night in the lounge or in bed - he seems to have a very soothing voice and I would always go to sleep.  Possibly good if you have insomnia?

Thanks, The Fall of Rome sounds like a plan  8)

The Norman Centuries sounds interesting too. Odd how I missed those two podcasts; I suppose that's easily done these days as there are so many! :)
