January 2024 output:

This Winsor & Newton matt varnish works wonders. It's really the first matt varnish in 40 years of my painting, that does what it promises when applied with a handheld brush.
It was tested on some lead miniatures first and then applied to these semi soft plastic miniatures for Imperial Assault. I guess, I will bin the other stuff and will only use this from now on.  :-*

I would suggest that you evaluate the semi soft plastic figures over the following months before using W&N varnish on other plastic figures. I found that my figures developed the dreaded sticky finish with this varnish. My models were from the Fantasy Flight and CMON Boardgames.

The varnish I used can be removed with white spirit.

I switched to airbrush varnish from Vallejo - the RC range (62.062). Also dead flat finish.
I like my games like my orange juice: pulpy with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners

Yes, I know it is February but these 8 fellows were finished last weekend. They are the last two packs of Bloody Miniatures wave 3.
