Am I the last person to hear about this method for making decals using standard computer paper?
If anyone has used it, are there any less obvious limitations or pitfalls? I can see that it would be difficult to make white letters this way, for example.
Andy, i have seen this in the past and was amazed when i saw it.
looks good to me . But might work only with bigger decals like on the video.
Well Tom, you are tasked with trying smaller decals so we can be sure.
That's pretty awesome. I think it probably only works for weathered models but the look is definitely good for that. I may have to try this on some model trains I've got.
Well E, you get the job of trying on unweathered models to see the outcome. I am thinking fresh grafetti.
Very cool. And my first thought for 'improving' the method is to used other colors of paper for other than white backgrounds. Won't get quite as vibrant a color but avoid a startling white line around the image. This may be the answer to some projects I've got on the horizon, including some 15 mm trains.
Well Fifteen, have at it and report back to us. Let us know if nonwhite works.
Ok, my work is done here. :-)
