A new Kickstarter for some cool looking sci-fi corridors that are laser-cut.

A very nice project, but at an unfortunate moment in time for me.

If/when he reaches his goals and production has been started, I might very well spend a good deal of money on those...

Corridors could very well be made by hand and that would be fun to do, the time constraints of a grown-up's life makes getting products like these much more tempting. Especially since these lasercut things are in most cases as cheap or cheaper than scratchbuilding them.

Good luck to the guy!   :)

They look cool. At a glance I don't see anywhere measurements for the pieces or how large a set you get at any level, which is key info.

I saw in one of the videos that the straight section has its grate pattern flooring (usable space for model bases) at 3 inches wide and 3-1/2 inches long.  So I guess conceivably you could get three 25mm bases across a corridor, barring any flailing arms etc  :).

That's my understanding too; internal sections are 3" wide x 3.5" long. The contents look to be 6 straights and something like 3 Ts and 1 crossroads section for $100. It looks good but I think I'd rather make my own for that money. I'm quite tight though!

Would be more interested if it wasn't the far side of the pond - wouldn't want to get hit for the import duties.

For the Level 1 pledge you get 6 straight sections, 1 L-corner, 1 T-intersection, and 1 4-way intersection.
The Level 2 gets 2x everything in the Level 1 pledge.
The Level 3 gets 3x everything in the Level 1 pledge.
When it gets funded, you get 5 end caps for the Level 1, 8 for the Level 2, and 11 for the Level 3, the most you would need to make a closed system.
The Level 1 gets one of each basic stretch goals, Level 2 gets two of each, and Level 3 gets three of each.
Level 3 also gets one of each Advanced stretch goal.

Took the plunge at Level 3. Appreciate the detailing, the modularity, and the entrepreneurship.

Looks great. But he sure as Hell needs some work on his public speaking.

Exactly. :?

I think it gives it a sort of an amateur charm; just a hobby enthousiast like us. I usually get very wary when a marketing slick with media training starts spewing his oiled sales pitch. ::)

But some well painted examples of his stuff would be nice; eye candy sells. And my eyes like the candy...

The end caps are included in the level pledges.
He added the load lifter model and hex crates for free to level 1,2 & 3 levels.  Level 2 gets 5 small and 5 large crates, level 3 gets 10 small and 10 large crates.
Next stretch goal is at $9K (less than $400 away!) and is a free corridor end room, one free for level 1, two free for level 2, and three free for level 3.
(wish this would let me paste a pic here)
The goal after that is onlyl $10,500 and is a free corridor side room. again one free for level 1, two for level 2, and three free for level 3.

It does look nice. And yes he definitely needs to do some serious work on his presentation. Rehearse what you want to say and be aware there's a camera in front of you. And then do it for real like there's no camera but people in front of you. Interact.

Public speaker or not, he seems handy with that cutter. I'm already planning how to paint mine up.
