Transport or have them fitted?

My understanding for fitted is it's the M1025 and the M1151with advancements on those variants, while the two you mention are primarily troop/cargo, radio or command.

Try this, http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/m1025.htm

and this, although it's USMC usage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vehicles_of_the_United_States_Marine_Corps#HMMWV

and if those weren't hard enough: http://www.hmmwvinscale.com/

Let's go to the videotape!

Which modern hmmwv would be used to transport heavy infwntry weapons

:-)

So tripod mounted weapons meant for infantry support.  They are too big to lug and so I assume something moves them, and had read that HMMWVs were used for that.  I assume it's the M1152 as I think the 1165 is more of a command vehicle, but I wanted to be sure....

Just checking...  having them as armaments does include transporting them of course :-I

For lugging* them around it would be the M1152(A1). Bear in mind the other which have them fitted could carry a tripod and dismount them.

*The correct technical term  :P

That's my assumption too but I haven't found anything in modern TO&Es that confirms it.  I wonder if anyone who has served recently can confirm it?

What TOEs are you looking at?

The 120mm mortars in the HHC of an Infantry BN ( in an IBCT tows the mortars with an M1165A1.

TOW ATGMs in the IBCT are only carried on an armament carrier (M1151A1) and can be dismounted with the carried tripod.

The weapons company (with the .50s and MK19s) mounts them on armament carriers (M1151A1s).

Every time a bad person dies, a Paratrooper gets his wings.
