Colonial German light infantry gun colour?
« on: November 03, 2013, 12:37:42 PM »
I have two 28mm Colonial German light artillery pieces on my paint table and was wondering if anyone can advise on the correct colour for the carriage and gun barrel. Thanks in advance.

if you are referring to the 7.5 cm Schutztruppe mountain gun issued to the Schutztruppe in South West Africa- http://www.germancolonialuniforms.co.uk/ refers to " It is thought that they were originally painted in a sand colour when delivered to the Schutztruppen, but most now sport other colour schemes."  The ones shown in their present state all seem to have some form of grey colouring
