It is big - but plenty of opportunity for weathering!! It does clear the rear doors

Ah, now it makes sense. In the other photo it looked like the doors couldn't open due to the perspective ;)

I still think it looks out of place, it's a rather rustic (or should I say - rusty?) design on a futuristic vehicle  o_o

that looks fantastic!

is it a kit bash or a production model? and what scale it is?

I cant place it or tell what size  it is as the painting and photography dont give any sence of size, which is the sign of great painting to me.

Yep... saving my pennies for a couple right now.

Like I said - I'd seriously consider Legos if Dwartist painted some up.

Rapid prototyped  :)

Thanks James. The casting does show clear evidence of its origins but is largely covered by paint - where it isn't it has the appearance of a textured surface or ribbing but some of the 'round' parts aren't quite round. Although not perfect for their first vehicle I think SW have done a really good job. It won't be to everybody's taste and some will be put of by the less than smooth casting but, for me, the level of detail is as good if not better than many other comparable 28mm gaming vehicles and is close to that produced by major companies like Forgeworld. I'll be joining the queue for a couple more.

Oh yes, I like it, the details are much better than a lot of other comparable items on the market (your painting has really done it proper justice  :-* ).

I can say from a rather lot of experience that these sort of things can be an absolute bugger to clean up so the odd area here or there isn't really noticeable, in fact, it probably adds to the effect somewhat  :)

cheers

Sorry buddy, I don't know if it's my computer(or me!), but I can't seem to find a link to your blog. I know most people put it as a signature at the bottom of their posts, but yours doesn't show!!

It'll be the globe emblem (for "World-wide web", I suppose) in the profile on the left.  You'll notice that quite a lot of people use that.
