Hi scions of LAF

I wonder if anyone could help me with how to organize small calibre support weapons in 28mm.
Actually for the french army, but some general lines wouldn't be bad either.
starts with HMG and ends with 75 mm I guess? I know of the HMG, 37mm FG, Hotchkiss revolver cannon, mountain guns and the famous 75e - but there might be others....
Probably animal drawn or carried.
I used the search engine on LAF, and googleing is a bit unspecific - could someone point me the right direction please? books, HP, blogs or something?

Thank You very much in advance

They also had old mortars left over from the 1850s, newer mortars, guns and howitzers in the following sizes, 105s, 155s, 200s, 220s, 250s, railway guns and all manner of al fresco missile and bomb devices.

oh, wow

amazing, THX
what I would like to know though is not only some of the weapons, but the organization, or better, how to represent it in 28 mm.
for instance, Great War Miniatures and Woodbine have six per gun, Brigade has four, Scarab gives eight with caisson, Old Glory 4-5. there is no limber... etc

I understand that the french still had a separated train...
the HMG crews are usually three, although they should be what, 12 per gun
and so on....

for instance, I found this blog
http://steelonsand.blogspot.de/2011/05/colonial-french-photos-2-artillery.html
with interesting photos, for instance, a drill of the 65mm mountain gun

seven per gun
or this one

8 men with 8 horse train, including mounted officer

Yes, the train was separate, as a rough guess, from pictures, a 75 gun crew was as many as 12, with 5 allocated to a 37mm cannon.

well here is one with ten crew, probably a soixante quinze

but the limber has only four horses, with some other crew? riding behind

now I am totally disoriented

so a gun would be what, eight crew, two for the limber and two for the caisson? I also saw a drawing where limber, caisson and gun were hitched in one train....

and then there is the picture of the 220 court Schneider with 16 crew....

THX

so, here is what I will try:

field gun with four crew, caisson with two, and limber with two plus one mounted gun commander - is that reasonable?
I could start with one four horse team and add a second maybe....

so how would the HMG be supplied, apart from all the soldiers carrying ammo?
