Found my “open all hours” character figures.
I need a butchers bike, preferably with basket for Granville.
Any suggestions please.

Like hippie with chain, gives me idea for girl waving as scarf. “Astley mania”

David sent me link for Blair and Johnson in handcuffs, can’t find them, anyone got link please.

I used the bicycle from the Foundry Home Guard set (Expensive if that's all you need though)

Added a wire 'basket' on the front

Thankyou for link, nice idea on bike pinching that.

Interior of shop is great, did it come with building or is it something you’ve made. Very impressive.

Also can you remember the colours you used for Mr Barkers coat. Cheers.

Arkwrights is a complete scratchbuild for my Geezers game: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=7181.195
(Most of the thread pics were messed up by the Photobucket debacle)

The shop 'interior' is actually photos stuck onto the flat walls.  The same was done with the terrace windows.

Arkwrights shop windows are a composite of several bits: photo of a shop window, scaled posters/advertising, odds n ends in various (small) fonts.  All put together before the window is glazed with clear plastic.  The shop door window is the one from the series.

The terrace net curtains are printed out from photographs. They are cut to size & glued into the window recess.  Next a piece of clear plastic as the glass. I then edge it with thin plastic strip for the frame.  All the windows are done like this, some with net curtains, others left plain.

Bit of a memory test for the coat colour (painted in 2010?). I think it was probably the Foundry Buff Leather (7) triad.

So that old question again of scale.
I’ve decided if it looks right then it’s OK.

With all Christmas toys instore now started looking for a coach which I’ll turn into burnt out wreck.
Most I’ve seen so far would be great for 20mm scale.

My other vehicles have a wheel base of 43mm, any suggestions. There are collectors models out there but don’t want to pay those sort of prices for something I’m going to destroy.

This any good as a coach ?
I’ve shown it with 20mm figures.
Only £4 from Asda.

Have you taken it out of packaging yet, what’s the model’s width?
Need to find large Asda we have only medium sized in Stockport one aisle of toys and no buses checked yesterday. Neither “the entertainer.” or smiths toys, theirs are not wide enough, again great for 20mm but not 28mm.

Black cat bases did some nice miniatures, but they don’t appear to be trading any longer.

There is company in US that has part of their range available but not figures and cost a fortune to ship to U.K.

Does anyone know if someone else has picked up their range, believe some were made under license?

I so want the bacon butty guy.

Hi, the coach is 32mm wide.
Sorry for the delay.

It looks just right to me, how will you fit that in a scenario?  A coachload of tourist hostages perhaps?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :

figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted

It does look right.  And we once had a bus with passengers show up on its scheduled run in one of our US Prohibition Era gangster games.  They ended up getting caught in the cross fire between the cops and the gangsters...

I want to do burnt out coach/bus. You see them on most news casts when there’s civil unrest.

This is Katy Add for WBC handing back to the studio.
Will explain later, news crew on painting table.

They are offensive miniatures set, one dignitary is “sunny dee trump”, who is the other?

A very good question. Also a very interesting find.
