Wonderful stuff! Please keep us posted on how the rules play out. Huge Blood Of Heroes fan and hoping for a tabletop version of that for ages!
Played our first couple games- we all had a blast! The learning curve is about the same as Blood bowl, but the actual gameplay is a lot easier (without losing the depth of play.) There is a lot of dice rolling, but there is still plenty of decision-making. We played two games in two hours, though the second game only lasted about 1/2 hour (once you learn the rules, the gameplay goes a lot faster.)
Also, as with all of Two Hour Wargames' titles, there is no "you go, I go." If my opponent, for example, is attacking me, I get to defend, and decide how much I'm going to dedicate to that defense (by choosing how many of my bonus dice to use.) The only thing you can't do during your opponent's turn is move your own figures (unless directed by one of the tables due to the result of an attack or such.)
I also like the movement mechanic: The gameboard is divided into large squares called zones. Each player can move one zone (the qwik can move two), and each zone can be occupied by no more than three total players (from either side.) It feels a bit like you're almost playing a combination of chess and blood bowl.
Definitely fun. I think it's worth at least the price of the PDF ($12.) Also, it feels like you're playing Blood of Heroes, and not just some game that stamped the name on a box.
I didn't get any photos of our actual games, but I did set up some pics earlier when I finished painting all my minis. You can see those here:
