War of the Spanish Succession Game at Grimsby Wargames Society
« on: December 30, 2016, 10:01:20 AM »
A small game to end the year with my French forces taking on the English with some Dutch support.  All the French are mine and the English from Mark.  Scenery from the shelves of the Grimsby Wargames Society.  The rules used are our own and allow a game of 2,000 figures in battalions of 30+ men to be completed in an evening.  More on my blog if you're interested (http://grimsbywargaming.blogspot.co.uk/).

That's really impressive! We must have different definitions of "small game" though lol

There's nothing quite like massed cavalry combats. Great stuff!

Very inspiring… but it also reminds me that I have a whole Front Rank French army to paint :?

Fantastic looking units. I'm just about to varnish and base my second battalion and looking forward to getting a few games in, in a couple of months when I get enough troops mustered.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Beautiful, elegant and uncluttered. Superb!
