I've been working on and off for about a year on a set of rules for a solo / co-op Post Apoc game that isn't the same old zombie/mutation/fallout type of game. I'm closer to being finished, but still a million miles away.
Anyway, starting to work on buildings, so figure this is a good way to keep a second copy of my pics / journal while I build out what I'm trying to do. Let me know if the webp format pics show up. I know sometimes they don't. Thanks

These 4 showed up. Your stuff looks good so far.
-
Very creative! I love the scratch-built, imaginative stuff! :-*

Clever build. Looking good!

Getting some work done on all sorts of stuff this afternoon. Pretty happy with my rust paint job.
-
That rust effect is so realistic! I thought it was some rusty old piece of metal you pulled out of a basement somewhere... :o

Thanks, its a couple pieces of MDF I'm using to make a trailer for a caravan. There's a couple spots I wish I was a little neater on, but I can't complain on a 3 minute paint job!
I think it helps I primed it with Barbarian Flesh spray to start, not the normal black or gray. The lighter, warmer color made it stand out a little more. I used a little metal as the last thing, just splotched it on last in a few spots and that was it. Going to try it on some corrigated paper to see if it gives it the same result.
-
Man, that rust does look good!
-
Paint mostly done on a broken 3d print I chopped up for some cargo container craziness. Now the fun part, building the merchant stall.
-
About half done building, then paint.
-
Fabulous stuff. Keep the pics coming.
-
Got a little more work done yesterday, still need some more detailing then paint.
-
I love the gritty look of your buildings and terrain... :-*

Thanks, having fun building them. Trying to stay away from the typical PA stuff, the world I'm using them is more overgrown / left on its own than Nuc war or Zombies. Also a little bit further into the future, roughly 2100.
-
Looks good so far!

Not a ton of time for the hobby this weekend, but I did find a nice free AI generator for ideas. Ideogram.ai is what I've been using, 25 generations / 100 images for free each day (resets each day). Getting loads of inspiration and ideas from it. It works out by filling in details from the base idea you give it.

Some work in progress buildings
-
Spent a little time this morning on building 1 of 8. Still not done, but closer!
-
Outside is done (minus the add on stuff once painted). Time for primer / paint.
-
First primer coat is on.
-
Looking forward to seeing this completed... :-*

Another one for the "wait till the others are built before painting" pile.
-
A few work in progress pics. Goal is to get about 8-9 built and primed, then paint them all.
-
Finishing up on something I started a while ago. Still needs loads more work.
-
Lets see if I can get this right side up for a change. Almost done, just a few more details and the bottom is finished.
-
Love the rust on the corrugated siding! :-*

I really like projects such as this.
Here's some old crap I found lying about........
Tada, now they're amazing looking buildings.
-
Finished up painting, calling it done (Still a couple spots I can touch up, but thats for later).

Some work in progress buildings
Nice to see that I am not the only to make use of tea boxes for bulding purposes :)
They also work very well as base for wild west buildings (or the post apocaliptic version of them)
Very inspiring!
I was just wondering, where did you get all the blue corrugated bits from?
-
They are available on Amazon amongst others. I bought a pack of corrugated paper.
-
I've never seen that in any of the craft stores around me. Thanks for the recommendation. I DO use the fancy scrapbook paper that Hobby Lobby and Michaels carry. One of them is corrugated brown. (https://www.hobbylobby.com/Scrapbook-Paper-Crafts/Paper-Cardstock/Specialty-Paper-Single-Sheets/Corrugated-Cardboard-Scrapbook-Paper---12-x-12/p/111173)
Are the ones you're getting off Amazon paper, also? Or are they plastic?

Paper, they cut easily with a scissor (or hobby knife). I was going to try peeling carboard, but this is 90000 times easier!
-
Working more on painting trucks the past week than buildings, but my pile of "to be finished" is growing. I found a bunch of 1/100 scale WW2 armored cars and they upscale to 25-28mm really well without detail loss. I've been busy "apocalypsing" them.
-
Slow night at work, (work at home) so I can knock some junk walls out.
-
Got 15" of "junk wall" built. One 6" section, three 3" sections.
-
They look good so far....
-
Used my preferred priming method - Flat Red/Brown, Barbarian Skin, then Pale Flesh (rattle can). Ready for paint in about 20 minutes.
-
Great start! I have never taken the leap to spray painting my stuff (other than spray primer for terrain and the occasional miniature that needs reinforcement). Kudos to you to finding a way to get things done even quicker!

Junk walls look great! 8)

Finished the "set" of walls, primed and ready for paint.
