Is ok if you haven't taken one last picture - we have lots of in progress pictures.

I, on the other hand, am going to be building likely all the way up to the deadline as I had planned on Wednesday... (oops)

I'm continuing to take pictures like I did before the blackout and will upload them after the competition has concluded.

Documenting the whole journey as it were. I actually find it greatly motivates me to power through, even when things go not as planned or utterly sideways. Or when I start to lose attention and motivation.

It has kept me from painting miniatures for two months; so that time better mean something  :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I'm planning on posting my painting photos post competition. Sounds like you are too. Looking forward to it

Should you be keen and wish to send in your photos prior to the deadline, or wish to submit for the Wooden Spoon award, the email is buildsomething2024@gmail.com

It has occurred to me that i do not have a terrain mat to match the base of my model.  Is blurring or other manipulation of the edges of the photos allowed?

I have used a greenscreen background before, but photofrickery is not allowed beyond that, plus colour balancing and cropping I believe..   ???

This sounds like black magic to me  lol

Yeah, that's what I thought.  No worries, It's just a challenge that I'll have a think about.

Could also go buy a few A3/11x17 pieces of paper and use them as a background

Just an update - because we didn't discuss it and I have an entry, here is how the initial grouping will work for photos: Each entry will be ranked based on the  second gmail says it was received. Tie breaker will be the last set of digits of the sending IP address.

So the first entry has this:
Received: by 2002:ad4:4819:0:b0:6a0:ea06:c69b with SMTP id qd25csp838364qvb;
        Sun, 5 May 2024 04:58:30 -0700 (PDT)
it was sent from this IP address:
XXX.XXX.XXX.121

Also, when I send my entry tomorrow, I will BCC all the other competitors received up until then, so you can all see I sent it before midnight (as I'm going to be racing against the clock realistically, as naturally is my style)

Hopefully this satisfies all to produce a fair competition.

Mine is, or at least should be, on its way.
