I decided to set up one of the original scenarios today and have a go at it solo. -Taking a few photos this time.
West Largo was a seedy backwater, but there is where Nick Hammond and company found themselves. General Ashburn had sent a message informing Nick of a certain Professor Henry Verdant, who had developed a powerful weapond that the United States government was very interested in. Verdant was being pursued by the French Government, and had taken to hiding in a coastal town on West Largo. It was imperative that he be taken to safety and transported to the states.
Nick, along with Nora, Jack and three hired Askaris met him, and were hastily trying to get him on board a boat that would take him to safety. The way to the boat was blocked however by French police. Our group moved quickly through the town, hoping to avoid contact with the French. Nick tried to talk to the old first mate of the waiting boat, unsuccessfully at first, but after producing a bottle of good rum, got the mate on our side.
Just then however, the shooting started. After four turns of action, our group found itself in possession of the mate and Verdant's luggage. Nick was moving toward the ship's captain. The fighting swung back and forth, the Askaris did notable service, actually rushing several of the French Askaris, until at the end of turn five, both sides had lost all of their Askaris.
Ultimately, with the boat secured by Nora, Jack covering the movement from behind cover. Verdant ran to Nora and the boat, with the old mate waitng for us on board, we were cleared by the captain to ship out with him.
The photos are in reverse order, the seventh showing the layout of the table. It was a good, tense game.
