After having Napoleon inflicted upon us it seems there is no end in sight for (potentially) bad movies.

The Hunt for Gollum. Not just one but two movies!  Perhaps I am being pessimistic but I suspect this will be plodding and full of awful fantasy tropes.

I would have to agree. There is nothing really there to make a film, let alone two films.
It will all be made up stuff. Like that bad Amazon Lord of the Rings show.

 I see there going the Star Wars route by watering down and exploiting the franchise by churning out unnecessary content. Enough with Andy Serkis he's ruined enough movies.

Three? Only when they started, then PJ had the brilliant idea to add a little three hours episode of the balrog and wereworm invasion of the Shire which happens right before Samwise decides to go to the loo.

Pretty much...as a middle-aged nerd who's watching all of his favourite old IP's be absolutely razed to the ground...the worst thing I can imagine is any IP I enjoy being tackled by Hollywood in 2024.
