New 1/56 Preview for Bush Wars

A variant of the Mercedes Pigs, based off the Mercedes Unimog.  The uses the same chassis and wheels and our Unimog model.

It will be a solid casting of the hull, with separate hatches for driver, passenger, and  the small gun ports.  It will come with a turret.



Our medium HMG ring will fit as well. Shown with the new Bush Wars vehicle crewman created for us by Eureka.

Great looking vehicle they built sixty of them,but peace was signed before they got into action,but if Operation Quartz would have been green lit who knows,doesn't matter still want one. http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ModernAfricanBushwars    But at least a small group would have probably been in the field for testing,Great job!!!!!!!!

Too late to serve Rhodesia perhaps, but they were deployed in Matabeleland with 1 RAR in 1980, used by the ZNA against RENAMO in the Mozambique Civil War and finally in Somalia with Zimbabwe's UN Contingent. It is possible some remained to serve in the Congo War in the late '90s. In total 100+ vehicles were completed.

Nice! Since you are seeking to get extra use out of your Unimog chassis have you considered doing a UR-416?

Yes, UR-416 and the Crocodile APC are in the que for Rhodesia. Probably get those out right to print after this one is in production.  The crocodile will be a bit more complex as we are spin casting these kits, so the longer models tend to require some design changes to fit the molds.  Smaller stuff like this and the 416 are sized just right to work.
